I slowly exited my dune boogie, my heavy depression literally weighing me down. Infact, a chance observer wandering the Wormhills, they would most likely sense my resignation from life. Surely only brigands and Gofs would be out this far, and would share such forlorn sentiments. But if they saw I was THIS depressed, they would know I wasnt much for meat and bone in the community stew.

Before I could finish my thought, I turned around around the front of the buggie and was meet by a materializing pool of deep blue infront of my face. I feel backwards in fright, landing on the hard earth. Grimising, I looked upwards, and saw a woman's face take shape.

Who in Jupiters Dust Rings are you!?" I said in frustration to the puddle that floated. Tne face. Her face? The outline of a beautiful feminine face, Gorben in impression and colored topaz. Her facial structure extended outwards from the horizontal pool of the same blue color, shimmering luster as photons bombarded its surface.

"Salutations traveler, this is the final stop on the Outer Scutum-Centaurus Arm." The liquid precious gem spoke in G.B.S It's face keeping form as it tilted its forehead downward, regarding me. "Based on your biological markers, you must be traveling to
Alpha Centauri this aftern.."

Cutting her off, my anger emerged again. "Take me to IOK-1 for all I care!" The lady was quiet for a moment. She is amused with me. I thought.

"That galaxy has not been chartered sir. Please specify your desired desti."

"Nevermind, I've got it." I rose from my back and started up and into the portal. Beginning to jog.

"I already paid in the outernet" I yelled behind me, my voice vibrating like a didgeridoo in the tunnel.

I was now running at full speed towards the green transference. The air felt warmer. Smelled like some giant creatures' body odor. I kept running. My eyes whitened over as I began to cross the threshold.
