This is part of a series of three images depicting elk, a wildlife of the Rocky Mountains. Each of the three images reveals how integral the elk is to its environment and how it is a part of a very complex natural system. The original is sold and was created on canvas with the use of collage materials, hand-printed by the artist, original photographs by the artist, and various Oriental rice papers. The artist integrated layers of acrylic painting, including iridescent colors.
