Rogue is a tribute to the beauty and volatility of nature—and to the undercurrents within ourselves that rise without warning. The ocean, for me, is a metaphor for the unconscious: vast, shifting, and impossible to contain. I incorporated layered textures and patterning to evoke the unseen stories that lie beneath the surface—memories, instincts, and inherited wisdom. This piece was created in a flow state, using both deliberate control and expressive gesture, mirroring the dual nature of the wave itself: graceful and wild. Rogue speaks to those moments in life when we are overtaken, changed, and returned anew.
