This is a dyptych/two-panel piece. The Rocky Mountains are sometimes called "Watertowers" because of the role they play in the fresh water they provide. Snow slowly melting in the Spring gets absorbed through the mountains, over years it's purified and chalked full of minerals. Mountains like these play a large part in the world's supply of fresh water.
