Trochoidal Wave

A giant wave composed of origami cranes hand folded from Japanese Chiyogami paper. This piece was inspired when my family was in Hawaii during a Tsunami warning. In the tense hours than ensued, we learned about how waves travel the ocean and I delved into the science behind them. This piece is inspired by the trochoidal wave model portraying a vector map of how each particle in a water wave is moving at a single point in time.
