Up In The Clouds

Acrylic and mixed medium on canvas.

30x36x1.50"

Painted during my earlier abstract period, *Up in the Clouds* draws on memories of looking down at the world from an airplane, especially the atmosphere of a sunset seen from above the clouds. I've always found travel exhilarating. For me, it represents freedom, possibility and the excitement of seeing somewhere new.

During this period, I explored my experiences and the feelings they evoked through abstract art, rather than depicting recognizable subjects.

Created with acrylic and mixed media, the painting has a textured surface with luminous paint that catches the light, adding depth and atmosphere to the work.
