In this work from the Seasons Series, Winter represents the emotional aftermath experienced by survivors of sexual violence. The figure curls inward within a quiet, shadowed landscape, embodying the isolation and numbness that often follows trauma. Beneath her body, water gathers as if the figure were slowly dissolving into the surrounding environment, reflecting the loss of stability that can accompany such experiences. Yet winter also suggests endurance. Like the season itself, the image acknowledges that event the coldest and most silent periods are part of a longer cycle of survival and eventual renewal.
