Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.

36x48"

A while ago, I was listening to an interview with scientists on a climate/nature topic, and there was a remark said that visually stuck in my head - Hypothetically, if there were someone millions of years after humans, and they get to cut the Earth crust deep to study layers of the Earth periods, then among layers of soil and rocks, there will be this bright vivid layer of un-decomposed plastic - marking human's civilization. I often wonder what we will leave on this planet after we are gone. Well, apparently, there is some bright side to it.

(This piece is a part of "When Earth Calls" series)
In this series, I voice my feelings and thoughts on nature awareness, on the human/nature complicated relationship of connection and rejection. Incorporating earthy elements in this series, (such as wood and stones, along with man-made materials), my intention is to create a family of abstract pieces, rich in texture and deep earthy colours.
