Acrylic paint and epoxy sculpt on wood panel.

10x10x2"

"Forbidden Fruit" is a series of three dimensional paintings of fruit that have sculptural vulvas. The series aims to confront viewers with the female body part in an inviting and non-intimidating way by combining vulvas with something as ordinary and familiar as fruit. Fruit are also used as symbols of every day health and when observed through an artistic eye are beautiful with both similarities and nuances, just like vulvas. The sculptural component draws viewers in to take a closer look and really be able to examine and notice the diversity of vulvas in shape, size and detail in hopes to inspire acceptance and appreciation of individual feminine beauty and get people, especially women, more comfortable with their own body part.

New media on acrylic glass.

30x25x2"

In high school, there were four of us friends. We were besties. One of the four got into a serious relationship that turned emotionally abusive. Slowly, they faded and we saw less and less of her in school. She eventually dropped out and we lost all contact with her.

As still very niäve kids, we didn't know what to do or who to talk to. I still think of her, and I feel guilty.

This piece is the era before all that bullshit happened. When all we wanted was candy from the corner store.

Acrylic on cradled birch.

24x24"

This is a 24x24” acrylic painting on a gallery thick, 1.5” birch wood cradle board. This is the forth painting in my Sustenance series, the initial three being "Cherries", "Blueberries" and "Coffee Beans".

Stand close to the work and see the piece fragment into impressionistic geometry, or stand back and watch it knit together into a more photo-realistic artwork.

The scene wraps around the side of the cradle board by a 1/2”, the remaining depth is raw, blonde wood. The entire piece, edges included, is double-coated in a satin varnish and ready to hang.
