Rafael Paiva is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Los Angeles, California. His style is dynamic and his approach to art is based on the mental phases one goes through to become a better version of themselves.
Born and raised in Brazil, Rafael moved to LA in 2012 in search of better opportunities and acceptance. Having always carried the feeling of being misunderstood by his family and friends, he was determined to reinvent himself in a place where his creative soul could thrive and survive the reality of a challenging society.
Rafael's passion for visual arts started with photography and editing. He was able to build a career around it, but that wasn't enough to represent everything he was capable of, so he started to create art in other forms as a way of self expression.
Working with a diversity of mediums, each piece created by Rafael is unique and carries a personality of its own.
