Miah Reeves
I am a 19 year old artist located in Toronto, Ontario. My art is heavily inspired by my journey with paralysis in my left arm and shoulder. I turned to art as a form of therapy and it quickly became my passion. I spent years in physiotherapy and occupational therapy to get my arm to a functional level of movement. After 6 years of hard work in order to move again, my art had become heavily influenced by human movement and anatomy.

This painting represents the silent fear women go through on a daily basis that is completely normalized in society. “Caught Red Handed” is my own personal experience being mistreated by men when I had no voice, no way of expression, and nowhere to turn.
