Sam Alex Kay; born and based in Toronto, is a BFA graduate of York University. He is a former short film-maker with three independent festival awards. Kay's has been on display at the Chord and Canvas, Artusiasm, and Slanted Door Galleries.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The Raccoon intrigues me because of its anthropomorphic nature, as well as how closely its body language and versatility of movement compares with humans. Since they are at home in the human world, I find humour in the making them indulge in human behaviour.
