This painting is part of a collection dedicated to weed plants, aiming to raise awareness about the importance and beauty of these small, wild flowers. For instance, the featured weed, Viper's Bugloss, is native to Europe and provides pollen to a variety of insects, many of which are depicted in the painting. This flower is a favorite of honey bees and also supports butterflies, skippers, moths, and ladybugs. Weeds like this are crucial for pollinators.
