I created this painting in 2003. It's about my experiences with fellow artists friends and the dinner parties we would spontaneously put together. Everyone would bring something to share, or not. The meal wasn't what was important but rather the conversation and company. I'm seated at the head of the table with my two stray dogs by my side.

The beauty of a simple object is often overlooked in our everyday busy lives. However, it is only when we look at something very closely, do we really see its beauty. A slice of watermelon with is vibrant and exploding with colour. We just need to look.

This photography project explores the diverse range of emotions within individuals. We all experience both good and bad days, occasionally feeling anger or a desire for revenge. The project aims to depict these emotions through imaginary characters. These characters undergo physical transformations due to intense anger and sadness, deliberately blurring the line between fiction and reality. The intention is to create a mysterious atmosphere, leaving viewers uncertain about whether they are witnessing a part of a fairy tale or an aspect of reality.

Emptiness is a piece that represents the misery and poverty that many people experience not only in my home country Venezuela, but in so many parts of the world. The painting shows an open fridge with pretty much nothing in it. The fridge is corroded and not clean, to use an analogy of the reality of so many people. Also, I painted the silhouette of a grandmother getting food out of the fridge. That images through her are distorted, first to define her, but also to reinforce the concept of emptiness.
