- Born: St. Catharines, Ontario - 1955.
- B.F.A - York University School of Fine Arts - Studio Major - Visual Arts - Heinz Jordan Memorial Scholarship, 1978.
- Studied painting at Elliot Lake School of Art & Haliburton School of Art and Design
- Began career in Toronto and involved in the 1970’s Queen Street art and music scene.
- Employed as gallery assistant/preparator - Bau-Xi Gallery and later as Picture Framer/Manager/Franchise Designer for U-Frame-It Ltd. in Yorkville.
- Returned to St. Catharines in 1981 to manage the “Frame Shop,” for Potter and Shaw Ltd.
- 1983 became President of Niagara Artist Company (NAC), now known as Niagara Artist's Centre.
- Opened his own business called “The Framer’s Workshop” as one of the first Certified Picture Framers (CPF), in Canada.
- Rebranded business Elliott & Company in 1992, incorporating home décor.
- 2005 - Named Overall Canadian Retailer of the Year. (Canadian Gift and Tableware Association)
- 2006-2018 Elected to St. Catharines City Council - Considered one of prime architects of Downtown Revitalization.
- Led advocacy, development, design and construction of FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
- Former member of St. Catharines Culture Committee; Public Art Advisory Committee; Museum Advisory Committee; Niagara Region Culture Committee; Rodman Hall Arts Centre Advisory Board; and Rodman Hall Coalition.
- Received the 2018 “Making a Difference Award” at the City of St. Catharines Arts Awards.
- Designed and built an art studio 79 Chaplin Avenue in downtown St. Catharines.
- Has exhibited throughout Ontario and work is featured in many private and corporate collections.
