Carolyn is extremely active in the art scene. She is the Chair of Artists’ Network, an elected member in the Ontario Society of Artists and a member of the Society of Canadian Artists (associate) and the Federation of Canadian Artists (active).
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Through a comprehensive study of human emotion and energy, my work conveys the complex interconnected systems of life. Circular shapes combine with unexpected colour and pattern, heavy layering, and collage, attempting to achieve balance akin to self-realization. This push and pull of predictability and chaos lead to a final piece that viewers can interpret according to their own personal state of consciousness.
