51x23"
An artwork representing the last storm of the winter and its colors
Dino Bacigalupo is Chilean artist who weaves alcohol inks to create intricate expressions of art on canvas. With carefully planned linework and bold colour palettes, he strives to create powerful and dynamic compositions that express the complexities of everyday life. Dino uses his experiences from Chile and Canada to inspire and guide his works.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
When I approach my pieces I always let the inks guide me. At first, each piece may seem a bit uncertain. However, I already have a predetermined picture in my mind to replicate. The process often takes some time for the inks to show me that passage. But this is what inspires me most—behind my artwork there is always a journey behind it.
