Since childhood I wanted to become to be an artist like my mom. I was getting classes in visual arts after-school, then learning arts in college and received my Master of Fine Arts degree.
For many years my major media was original print. I was printing in Jerusalem Print Workshop in Israel and in the Open Studio in Toronto. I had a passion for monochrome images but slowly started to use colors in my prints and then spend more and more time painting. Toronto cityscapes is one of very important themes of my work. My goal is to capture and reflect spirit and rhythms of the City. In 2013 I was awarded at KUMF Gallery “Toronto the Beautiful" juried art show.
I exhibited in many different places in Jerusalem and Toronto and had solo shows in Jerusalem Theatre Gallery, La Parete Gallery, Praxis Gallery, Hittite Gallery, Peach Gallery and others.
My works are purchased to public and private collections in Canada, US, Israel, France, Belgium etc.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I am using different media for my artwork - oil on canvas, watercolour, pastel and original print. During recent five years I mostly painting. Currently my favorite theme is cityscapes. I life-paint them on the streets of downtown Toronto and sometimes complete work in my studio. Hunting for an object in city jungle is an exciting and fascinating process for me. The goal is to get feeling of resonance with the environment, with the pulse of the city. I can’t and don’t want to work with photographs. I have to be inside. I have to see how rapidly everything in the city (people, cars, clouds and light) moves, changes, disappears. I reflect this quickness in my works by sketchy appearance, incompleteness of my canvases
