Digital print on archival paper.

8.50x11"

Limited edition 1 of 1.

There are only a very few places in the world where you can see mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of them. It's in Uganda, on the other side of the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda where Dian Fossey made them famous - and lost her life protecting them.

This painting was made after a 2 1/2 hour uphill trek, 2 hours down, and a good hot shower. Our group was lucky to spend an hour with a habituated family of gorillas - a silverback male, several adult females, and this 3 year old baby. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of this painting will go to mountain gorilla conservation.

All of my pieces, including this one, are ORIGINAL digital art, meaning they are created using digital brushes and pixels for the paint on an iPad; They are not merely prints made of existing pieces. Each piece is hand-painted in a unique modern medium. Limited editions only.

I print each piece personally on archival quality watercolour paper (Arches Aquarelle) using long-lasting, acid free Canon inks. Hand signed in pencil. Other sizes/framing options available; contact Helloart for info.
