A Filipino-Canadian artist based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines before moving to Canada in 2008. A self-taught artist who discovered a passion for painting during the pandemic. A firm believer that art can be anything you want it to be as long as it brings joie de vivre.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My paintings are inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature, with a focus on vibrant flowers. I use watercolor, acrylic, and oil pastel to create expressive representations of different floral subjects. I am fascinated by the intricate details and vivid colors of each flower, and I try to capture their essence and personality in my artworks. I also experiment with various textures and effects to enhance the contrast and depth of my paintings. My goal is to share my appreciation towards creativity and find beauty in imperfections .
