Watching an absolutely beautiful performance of a Spanish flamenco dance and music fascinated me. Coming back to my studio, I grabbed a brush and splashed out my emotions on a canvas.
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Valeriya Khomar was raised and classically educated in fine arts. Since 1995, the artist has been living and creating in Montreal, Canada.
Throughout her life, she has pursued various art-related careers. Today, Valeriya is a multidimensional artist and educator, exhibiting her work in numerous art events and galleries. Her paintings can be found in private and corporate collections across North America and Europe.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The desire to create art is woven into my DNA. It was in my childhood that I fell in love with art.
Trained by four mentors: Fine Arts, Commercial Art, formal education and my father, I have studied art, painted, experimented, and various forms of expression throughout my life. To this day, I continue my journey of learning and growth with no intention of ever stopping.
