Acrylic on birch panel.

12x12"

Aged and stoic, she bears the weight of time's burdens. The relentless winds of motherhood try to push her down. A new generation survives because of her. There is nothing in this rock to sustain her. Yet, she persists. They arrive too late with metal rods, the silent allies, to finally support her against the pressures of patriarchy. She bends but never breaks, a testament to the indomitable spirit within her weathered bark. She’d be a lot prettier if she smiled, though!
