Acrylic on canvas.

36x36"

My acrylic painting is a celebration of the beauty found in unlikely places. Inspired by the sinking kayak dock at Riel Park in St-Albert, I was struck by the surreal view of reality created by the moss floating over the water and the dock.
The distant shores of the Sturgeon River and the clouds above add depth to the painting, making it feel like a flatbed. As I approached the dock, I noticed that it had become a home to ducks, which added to the curious and surreal scene.
Through my painting, I hope to capture the beauty of nature's ability to adapt and thrive in unexpected places. The sinking kayak dock, once seen as a problem, has become a haven for the local wildlife. The moss and the ducks have transformed it into something beautiful and unexpected. Art has the ability to highlight the beauty in our surroundings, even in the most unlikely of places. This painting is a tribute to the power of nature and the importance of finding beauty in the unexpected.
