Acrylic on stretched canvas.
16x20x1"
Gorgeous sunlit still life with an old vintage coffee grinder and Medieval book illustrates the beauty and harmony of the whole composition. Warm chroma adds coziness and peace to this artwork. This realistic painting was created in a meticulous old Dutch school manner with lavish attention to detail.
Annika began painting as a young girl, voraciously learning oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, pastels, and life drawing from accomplished art instructors in Fine Arts school (4years).
After graduating from Odessa’s Grekov college of Fine Arts, Annika entered the art trade as a professional, inspired by landscapes and beauty of the nature.
Annika resides in Toronto, Ontario with her family, where she owns her Art Studio.
She had numerous personal art exhibitions throughout Toronto.
Annika's artwork can be found in many private and corporative art collections around the world; USA, Canada, UK, Australia, South Africa, Norway, Finland, Germany, Japan, Israel, and Hong Kong.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My artwork is not the direct representation of nature but rather my own artistic creative vision and experiments with light and shadow, different textures, and mediums. I enjoy painting landscapes, impressionistic vistas of the Mediterranean, fascinating places we traveled to in Italy, France, Spain, England, the beauty of Canadian nature. My art style I would describe as contemporary impressionism.
All of my paintings are created with permanent techniques and materials and will last for centuries under normal conditions. Just keep them away from the direct sunlight and high humidity or drastically fluctuating temperatures.
