Artistry by Design Illuminated Art Box
14x14"
Limited edition 1 of 1.
A long-time international Fine Art Photographer, Christina Sideris, layers photographs of urban and natural landscapes creating abstract moments which she emphasizes using geometric shapes and colour transparencies.
Material: Artistry by Design Art Box | A micro-weave fabric fine art print stretched to size on an aluminum 3/4” shadow box frame.
Sideris is currently developing artworks being displayed on the ‘Artistry by Design Art-Box’, a dynamic illuminated surface that elevates two-dimensional artworks into atmospheric installations. Christina Sideris presents large-scale immersive photograph installations reflecting abstract global landscapes.
The entire collection is being featured on the innovative illuminated Art Boxes. Employing her signature style of layering her own photographic images, she looks to expose the dualities of constructed city scapes and nature’s own organic detail. These custom design Art Boxes come together using patented LED panels and lightweight reflective boards to illuminate digital artworks printed on a patented thin weave fabric.
After the AGO featured exhibit in 2017, Sideris solidified her ambitions to reach a greater audience, and push the boundaries of visual presentation in a fine art context. Sideris is working to examine the parallels, balance and contrast of urban cityscapes and human impact of both our immediate and external environments. Challenging the balance of ‘real vs ideal’ comes the unique vision that depicts the contrasts for beauty and perfection as a society. The chase for the idealistic notion of what happiness is. Or so we thought…
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Christina channels creative integrity and fine art mastery in her latest works - Artistry by Design Art-Box. Illuminated, two-dimensional installations elevated to maximize atmospheric presence. Full-scale immersive photography of global landscapes layered to reveal nature in tandem with architecture. Custom-photography is uniquely showcased on patented thin weave fabric and fastened with LED panels on lightweight reflective boards.
Christina’s 2017 AGO exhibit saw her work reach a new level of recognition. She was inspired to recognize and lesson the boundaries of her audience while exploring the boundaries of visual presentation.
Forever examining the world around her, exposing parallels, restoring balance and contrasting urban sprawl versus natures gifts. Highlighting the ever-present challenge of ‘real vs ideal’ and tangentially questioning the perception of beauty and happiness and who decides.
