Original Art Piece

This is Original piece, created with high quality acrylic paints. “Valor of the Hollowed” is heavy & hopeful piece representing three different themes. One theme dives consumption of society and how society wants to devour the best & rawest parts of a person (the served heart). The heart being one of the most important and magnificent & intelligent organs in the body. Society has made the most vulnerable part of us the innate debt that we must pay in life from birth. The second theme this painting conveys is the Grand games of life. The dice representing the risks & mystery of the unknown outcomes. The six tears on the silver platter representing the milestones of each decade in ones life (the average age is now between 60-75). The last theme is the mixture of thoughts and emotions. The masks behind represent the complex fluctuation between positive and negative emotions. The woman in the mask in the middle represents the common ground between those both.

I am Grand, a local visual artist based in Chicago. I mainly work with Acrylic, sometimes oil paint. I absolutely love creating unique & custom art. I also love to create portrait paintings.

In my acrylic paintings symbolic motifs that pay homage to these ancient cultures while also reflecting the individuality of each subject. Every piece is a tribute to the intricate stories and timeless aesthetics that have been passed down through generations, reinterpreted through my personal lens.

My work as a tattoo artist allows me to take this exploration further, transforming the human body into a living canvas. Each tattoo is a deeply personal journey for both myself and the client, merging cultural significance with individual stories and experiences.
