"US of PB - Individuality" celebrates the americans diversity and individuality through the dedication to play Pickleball across all 50 states of the USA. It uses the US flag, a national patriotic symbol, with pickleballs of various sizes and individual shaed of blue colour. Each collaged paddles is unique. Despite of the individuality the elemnts create the US flag.
I studied, worked and raised a family in Canada since 1982.
From an early age I have been creating a wide range of works in various mediums.
While in Toronto, I work on large canvases. While away, I works in pencil and chalk on paper.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
For me art creation is a slow process, despite of the enjoyment and satisfaction that it brings.
Initially, my approach was controlled seeking figurative subjects such as models. Lately, I work
with abstracts ideas, instinctive, expressive and influenced by cultue symbolizm.
Specifically, I am espcially influenced by expressive abstratct artists of the NY 50's.
Works on this site have been created over the last 10 years and represent variety in subjects, technique and influences.
