Part of my Gratitude Project, in which every day, I painted small peaceful places and abstract florals to lift up my spirits. After Covid lessened, I sent out many small paintings to frontline workers as a token of my gratitude.

Road Trip is based on a desire to be in the landscape
experiencing the colours of the surroundings. On a road trip, the colours and shapes seem to flit by and individual details are sometimes blurred with the speed of travel.

Reverse painting on plexiglass.

This painting is extremely smooth and shiny, as the acrylic paint is applied to the back of the plexiglass and then it is flipped around and adhered to the canvas. This technique is a derivative of a centuries old way of painting on glass, but using modern materials.
The subject is open to interpretation but I call it Benevolence because to me it reminds me of watching patterns evolve in the night sky, and I am reminded of the goodness that exists in the universe.
